Where can I recycle my Christmas lights in Kansas City?
Did you know you can also recycle your Christmas lights? Many hardware stores and community programs offer free recycling for old or broken lights. Christmas lights contain recyclable materials like plastic, glass, and copper. The string can become tangled if you recycle it with your regular curbside recycling, which can damage the recycling center’s machines. Get paid for your broken Christmas lights instead, and help us reduce landfill waste.
Enter your zip code at recyclespot.org to find the nearest recycling center that accepts holiday lights. Select an option that says the lights are broken or working, giving you different locations.
